Denny and Donna Denniston started Barters Island Bees with 3 hives in 2020 and they now have hives all around the east side of the island. The Denniston’s and their neighbors are committed

to protecting the bees and providing them with a healthy environment that includes plenty of wildflowers and no harmful pesticides. In addition to their beloved honey, the company produces an equally popular Maine Mousse, a creamed honey butter Donna created which is infused with Blueberry-Lemon, Cinnamon and Ginger.
