Ingredients

  • 2-pound Atlantic Salmon filetShop
  • 1 bunch green onions, trimmed and sliced lengthwise
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 1 ½ teaspoons minced garlic
  • Cedar Wood plank
  • Oil Spray
  • Lemons, for garnish
  • Serves: 4

Directions

Soak a wood plank for 30 minutes or up to 2 hours. When you’re ready to grill, pat the plank dry with paper towels, and lightly coat one side with oil. Place the green onions on the plank, then place the salmon on top with the skin side down. In a medium bowl, combine the maple syrup, ginger, lime juice, soy sauce, and garlic. Mix well, then  Brush it on the top of the salmon. Let the salmon rest for 5 minutes before cooking.

Heat a gas grill to medium-high heat or build a charcoal fire with indirect heat. When the heat is medium hot, place the plank over the indirect heat. Do not place it directly over the flames or the salmon will overcook, and the wood will burn.

Cover and leave the salmon for 10 to 15 minutes just until the salmon is opaque throughout. Present the entire plank to the table. Garnish with lemon slices.
